Sands Awareness Month June 2015

10 June 2015

Sands Awareness Month is organised by the Stillbirth & neonatal death charity (Sands) to raise awareness of the issues surrounding babies’ deaths.

Over 100 babies will die each week during the month of June and it is essential to raise vital funds so that Sands can continue to research why this occurs and support those affected.

In 2013 around 5,700 babies were stillborn or died shortly after birth in the UK alone. However awareness of the issues surrounding babies’ deaths is not widespread.

In October 2015, Jo Edwards from the SJA International Office will be taking part in the Great South Run to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
