AXA PPP healthcare to acquire Simplyhealth’s private medical insurance business

AXA PPP healthcare has today announced that it has reached an agreement with Simplyhealth to acquire its private medical insurance (PMI) business, subject to approval by the appropriate authorities.

Simplyhealth employs around 400 people people in Bristol and has been operating for 13 years, providing health cover for over 200,000 people.

Chief Executive of AXA PPP healthcare Keith Gibbs said: ‘We look forward to working with Simplyhealth and its intermediary partners to ensure a smooth transition providing excellent customer service and continuing cover for all its individual and business customers.’

Chief Executive of Simplyhealth Romana Abdin stated: ‘We are delighted to have found a good home for our customers and people in AXA PPP healthcare’.
